From 9 to 11 April, Barcelona hosted a new edition of Advanced Factories, the trade fair for automation, robotics and artificial intelligence in industry. At CYP Core, we could not miss an event that, year after year, establishes itself as the meeting point for innovation, industry and technology.
Our participation in Advanced Factories 2025 was much more than a visit: it was a strategic immersion in the present and future of manufacturing.
A window on the future of the smart factory
The event brought together thousands of industry professionals, manufacturers, integrators, start-ups and technology suppliers around a common goal: more connected, more automated factories. Advanced automation, data analysis, real-time connectivity and cyber-physical systems took centre stage in every corner of the congress.
At CYP Core, we firmly believe that the future of industry rests on three key pillars:
- Interoperability: connecting systems, devices and platforms smoothly and securely.
- Real-time visibility: access to accurate data for agile decisions.
- Operational flexibility: adapting processes to changing demand with agility.
Advanced Factories was the perfect platform to learn about real success stories, exchange ideas with leaders in the sector and discover solutions that are already transforming the most advanced production plants.
Technology, data and connectivity: challenges and opportunities
One of the talks that struck us most focused on integrating systems in complex industrial environments. It covered the challenges many factories face today:
- Difficulty connecting equipment from different generations or manufacturers.
- Massive volumes of data with no clear structure to turn them into useful information.
- Lack of integration between planning (ERP), execution (MES) and operations (SCADA/PLC) systems.
But inspiring solutions also emerged: industrial middleware, IIoT-based architectures, edge computing platforms and artificial intelligence tools for predictive maintenance, quality and energy efficiency.
Advances like these motivate us to keep working with our clients on the road to Industry 4.0.
Connecting with strategic allies
Beyond the technical content, Advanced Factories was an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with partners, clients and other companies that share our vision of the future. We made new contacts, explored collaborations and came back with a stronger, more committed network of allies.
Meetings like this reinforce our collaborative approach: we believe industrial progress rests on open ecosystems, where cooperation between companies is key to tackling the sector’s great challenges: sustainability, decarbonisation, customised production and supply chain resilience.
Our mission: supporting the transformation of industry
At CYP Core we work in three specialities, each with its own division:
- Custom software: websites, apps, servers and AI (CYP DATA).
- Simulation, layout and digital twin (CYP SIRE).
- Industrial process engineering (CYP ENGY).
Events like Advanced Factories inspire us to keep innovating, staying close to the most advanced technology and aligned with the real needs of industry.
